General Program Information

For more than 15 years, the American Student Council Association has recognized student councils across the nation for making a difference in their schools and communities by organizing activities such as:

• Community food and clothing banks
• Adopt-a-Grandparent programs
• School beautification projects
• Tutoring programs
• Letter-writing campaigns to soldiers overseas
• Fundraising events for disaster victims

Recognize Your Council

Schools apply annually in the spring by completing a printable PDF application. Applications are then reviewed and a winner is determined and announced  in the Winter issue of Diverse Learning Communities Today.
