Join NAESP and the Lead for Literacy (L4L) Center June 6-7, 2023, for a highly interactive Virtual Leadership Institute focused on “Building Effective Schoolwide Systems of Literacy Support” for students in K-3. The L4L Center Framework, centered on a model of continuous improvement, will guide program evaluation and action planning throughout the 2-day Institute. Participants will learn how to:

  • Define elements of high-quality, literacy focused educational programming.
  • Describe effective strategies for teaching and assessing students who may be struggling in reading.
  • Access tools and resources that support the continuous improvement of a comprehensive schoolwide reading system.
  • Develop a literacy plan of action for the 2023-2024 school year.

Participation in the institute is available to NAESP principal and assistant principal members and up to four (4) members of their literacy leadership team: reading specialists, literacy coaches, lead teachers, etc. Learn more about the institute framework and participation.
