NAESP Joins Coalition to Advocate for a 10 Percent Increase to Title II, Part A in FY 25 Budget

Title II is one of the only federal programs that supports school leader preparation.

NAESP is advocating for a 10 percent increase (+ $210 million) to Title II, Part A (Supporting Effective Instruction State Grants) for FY25 along with a coalition of other national school leader groups. We are meeting with members of Congress to emphasize the importance of Title II funding in supporting student achievement and increasing educator recruitment and retention through high-quality professional development opportunities for teachers and school leaders.

Title II is one of the only federal programs that supports school leader preparation. The coalition organized a letter to the House and Senate appropriations subcommittee leaders in support of that funding increase. Thirty-two national organizations and 68 state and local organizations, including 31 NAESP state affiliates, signed the letter in support of increased funding for the program. Read the letter below.
